Millennials – if you are ready to retire your ballet flats, you’re in the right place. Ballet flats are feminine, preppy, but also oh-so-2004. Personally, I have PTSD from the blister bandaids on the back of my heels from the bow-detailed footwear. Keep scrolling for my favorite chic upgrades!

The Loafer
Loafers maintain the classic preppy vibe of the beloved ballet flat, however add in a touch of masculinity. My favorite loafers are ones with metal details to add some additional interest to your overall look. These shoes can easily take you from work to weekend – pairing with everything from trousers to boyfriend denim.

The Two-Tone Flat
These flats are giving me MAJOR luxury vibes. The pointy toe elongates your legs and makes you look taller in any look. These pointy toe two-tone flats are beyond CHIC and can add a touch of polish to even the most casual of outfits.

The Mule
Okay, full disclosure – I have these mules in maybe 4 or 5 different colors and styles. Mules give the same preppy feminine vibe of the ballet flat, but add in a touch of polish with the gold chain and pointy toes. If you get one shoe from this post, it should be this one!
