I LIVE for Halloween.. like I’m talking November 1, I’m already talking and scheming for what next year’s costume will be. In my 20’s, my friends and I had large group costumes ranging from The Wizard of Oz (where Adam was Glinda the Good Witch) to the Roger Rabbit crew. As we leaned more into couples costumes, Adam and I have been Wendy Peffercorn and Squints from Sandlot, Forest Gump and Jenny, and most recently Flo and Jake from State Farm. So I LOVE a good dress up moment, but I usually go for Pop Culture or “real life” costumes versus the super spooky, wigs, masks or makeup..
So when I began to plan our FIRST FAMILY HALLOWEEN COSTUME, I KNEW it had to be good. Searching Pinterest, I found a few that looked interesting but nothing stuck out to me. Until I stumbled across a Starbucks costume. I thought “that’s cute! How can we make it CUTER?!” That’s when it dawned on me.. RUNNING ERRANDS.
You know – when you tell your husband or significant other, you’re going to “run errands” but really it means you’re grabbing a latte at Starbucks and leisurely strolling the aisles of Tarjay, waiting for IT to tell you what you need.. Yeah, that type of errand running.
Everything here is from Etsy or Amazon, and can even be DIYed at home! I loved this costume so much and it was SO FUN to go take photos in front of the scene early in the morning.
Also, we have a SECOND costume for the big day – any guesses what it is?
